Love those days of old….
I pass by this old neglected farmhouse quite often. I can only imagine what it looked like in its heyday. It must have been a beautiful home with lots of room.
It pains me to see such ruination, but I still see the once-good in it. So I photograph it.
It may be that this will be the last photograph that is taken of it before it collapses, torn down or is razed. But I and the world will still know of it.
Please enjoy it. Comments are welcome. So are likes. Heehee.

Nikon mini review
I recently took a Nikon D5300 camera on a road trip through Las Vegas and Utah. This is a recent release for Nikon and it’s a camera that has a few new features that really stand out. The camera also performed much better than the previous model, the 5200, which I tested last year.
This camera is purely targeted at photo enthusiasts. It is a reasonably priced DSLR that is quite small. This camera offers the ability to transport easily while still offering the flexibility of interchangeable lenses and longer battery life.

The world is saddened today as an inspiring beacon is now at peace. The revered statesman who emerged from prison after 27 years to lead South Africa out of decades of apartheid.
Although he is no longer with us, his light and inspiration will always be in our hearts.

Oh how I love nature. Clouds are always interesting creatures to photograph. They change every second and you might miss their ultimate beauty if you don’t pay attention. This earth is full of wonder and amazement. There is even beauty in things that we might think are ugly, but if you just open up to something greater, you will see true loveliness.
These images are what I saw when I came home from work yesterday. This was around the 4:30-5:00 hour. I don’t think I ran fast enough to grab my camera.
As a photographer, you always want to be prepared.
Hope you enjoy! Keep the vision.
One of my dad’s old, but favorite toys. Boys love their toys!
So, as you can see, I could not pass up this little window of twilight opportunity. If you saw this sky, would you not want to capture it? I think that answer would be no, especially if you have a passion for capturing life at it’s peak moments.
Hope you enjoy! Keep the vision! Tammy

To all my photographers, here is a tribute to Richard Avedon.
Each weekend we look at a photographer who’s influenced the photography world. Richard Avedon is this week’s subject.
Richard Avedon (1923—2004) was a fashion and portrait photographer. The New York Times said that “his fashion and portrait photographs helped define America’s image of style, beauty and culture for the last half-century.”
He began his career as an advertising photographer working for a department store. But his work soon caught the eye of the fashion magazine Harper’s Bazaar. He went on to shoot for other magazine such as Vogue, Life, and Theatre Arts Magazine. In fact he shot nearly every cover of Vogue from 1973—1988.
He is famous for innovative techniques. He bucked standard trends of having models stand motionless and instead focussed on adding movement and emotion. He often shot action shots and outdoor settings, but was also an expert in studio work.
His work wasn’t just limited to fashion though as he made…
